Hailing from the home state of the blues, Mississippi, The recipe? Do not add artificial ingredients. Start with a few pounds of raw, bluesy guitar riffs and a tight rhythm section. Then add a pinch of edgy lead guitar solos. Throw in a generous portion of genuine killer vocals, with catchy lyrics then add smooth harmonies to taste. Keep it rather simple. Make it easy, fun to play and fun to hear. Then serve it up piping hot! We call it, southern fried rock and blues. Read my album review on chatsong, listen to their songs and give votes and comments underneath this review.

Hailing from the home state of the blues, Mississippi, in a day of electronic music, backing tracks, and auto tune. The Chitlins take a back to the basics approach to their brand of music. The recipe? Do not add artificial ingredients. Start with a few pounds of raw, bluesy guitar riffs and a tight rhythm section. Then add a pinch of edgy lead guitar solos. Throw in a generous portion of genuine killer vocals, with catchy lyrics then add smooth harmonies to taste. Keep it rather simple. Make it easy, fun to play and fun to hear. Then serve it up piping hot! We call it, southern fried rock and blues.  “Come get you some”, as we say down here in the south.

The Chitlins are fronted by the powerful yet soulful, vocal talent of Scott Henry. A seasoned stage veteran born in blues country and bred from the dirt. Scott’s unique vocal ability is matched only by his songwriting and farm boy, biker, southern gentleman personality. His voice and presence attract immediate attention.  Next is guitarist extraordinary Bucky Cole. Son of legendary guitarist and rockabilly music hall of fame, Lee Cole. Let's just say the apple didn’t fall far from the tree. As you can imagine Bucky started young and has spent many years shredding guitars in venues from Nashville to Nantucket.  On bass is Jay Patricks. Having worn many hats in the music biz as a bass player, lead singer, studio engineer/producer, FOH engineer and tour manager Jay help bring the vision of The Chitlins to fruition.
The Backbone of the band on the drums is David Green. No stranger to the stage, hard hittingDavid’s years playing hard rock and heavy metal bring a certain drive to the Chitlins hard-hitting live performance is a show all in itself.  Sweetening up the vibe with the harmony vocals are The Chitlinettes: Mary Perry Jackson and Janette Mederos. All members of The Chitlins reside, record and rehearse in beautiful Gulfport Mississippi. Hope you enjoy our music at least half as much as we enjoy making it. Thank you, hope to see you soon.

This funky rock blues band is the Chitlins, their biography and reason why they began making music, they released an album called ¨ keep in it real¨ you can listen and read all at their own website.

Then now my review about this rock and bluesy band from Mississippi, I go from the first song on the album to the latest song. So  I will start with ¨ Down on me¨ the intro has magnificent rock sounds amazing guitar and drums, and the singer has a very good vocal a real low and hard voice. And he can sing very octaves pure, and together with the background vocals, it is a wonderful track. wow, that guitar solo is wicked, in this song. The intro of ¨ Welcome home Mr. Jones¨ is again with such a wonderful instrument solo´s and wow that singer has a stunning professional vocal that edge he has in his vocal voice is from such a quality and power that is unbelievable stunning. wow, I don't know what I am hearing, because this is an International high-quality piece of music.  The song ¨ Sugar daddy¨ again what he has a wonderful vocal power, and he has a long breath for sure. The music swings enormously, I love the transition they do in that song from blues to rock. I am really impressed by his vocal power, and from the background singers, it is world class level especially in this song ¨ No surprise¨. This song is calmer than the others, but now you can hear how amazing they are in vocals. I am really in shock, how much talent they own. ¨ Blind dog¨ is again more a rock song, with blues additions stunning instruments again, I believe whatever they play or sing it all sounds wicked! again a beautiful guitar solo, which keeps you interested in all of the other instrumental sounds in this song. What a brilliant produced album and the intro of this song ¨ the 6:15¨ if I hear correct they used an enhancer in the beginning or something but in this song, it sounds so unique. I am in love with their music, I became a big fan and really want to hear them live in my country this is real talented and like I said world class music. ¨ keep on Rid-in¨ has an amazing intro, following op with a great musical spectacle of super sounded vocals and tunes. I am now at their latest song ¨ Leave it to me¨ I don't even know what to say, just that it is a very lovely song, the whole album is gold worthy. These artists have to get their own Broadway star, and a tour in every country there are. The album is so various and diverse, the songwriting is very good and they play and sing so amazing. This has to be heard everywhere on every big network there are in all the countries, therefore share these future legends in music as much as you can. And give ratings and comments, underneath this review.
