Shaped by the streets of Brussels and Paris, then England and the US, Irenka’s colorful music transcends borders and genres effortlessly. She fuses self-penned enchanting European melodies with warm smoky vocals in French and English. Her versatile voice gets easily compared to Annie Lennox, Gwen Stefani, and Enya, while her compositions capturing her personal experiences and struggles are a unique mixture of the Beatles, Nine Inch Nails and Tori Amos. In 2014 she released her self-produced debut EP Wait 4 It… featuring "Dreamland", a song about her lonely and daring journey moving to the United States in pursuit of her dreams.
Irenka has played hundreds of shows across the US, from Florida to California, as well as Canada and Europe in venues like B.B. Kings and City Winery. In 2016, she performed with internationally acclaimed multi-instrumentalist Regi Wooten, from the Wooten Brothers band, who has described Irenka's music as groovy, unique and soulful. In 2017, she has been featured on TV shows in Tennessee and Kentucky, Radio Canada and national French TV channel, France 2.
