"This singer-songwriter has many high qualities produced songs on both of his albums and it has to be heard around the world"

Jay Woodward is an innovator in the indie folk scene, combining modern production techniques with a classic approach to song development and engineering, reminiscent of the 1960's and 70's. Taking the skills he learned during his tenure at the famed Capitol Records in Hollywood, CA, Woodward melds the analog and digital world in his recording process, giving his music a truly unique and timeless feel. "I took everything I learned and said screw it, I'm going to try my best and give this a shot." Woodward recorded his first two albums, "Letters We Told" and "Good Grief" in his home studio in Venice, CA.

Never one to shy away from the uncomfortable, Woodward grasps the business of destruction, grief, tyranny, purity and forgiveness in many of his lyrical concepts. A studio musician at heart, Woodward moved to Knoxville, TN in 2016 to build an ambitious home recording studio from the ground up. "If you want to catch me live, listen to my records because every track is me playing acoustic guitar and vocal all the way through, completely live." He is currently working on his third record in this new creative space.
